Disconnect to Reconnect

My beautiful souls,

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to disconnect—not to escape, but to come back to myself.

I used to fantasize about running off to a yoga retreat in Bali or India and just… staying there. But the truth is, I can’t live off the grid forever. I have a life to live, people to serve, and a world I still want to be part of.

One of my mentors once told me that my real gift is in how I exist in the in-between—rooted and grounded, even while navigating this wild, overstimulated world. My spiritual teacher echoed that truth: the goal isn’t to escape the chaos, it’s to be able to move through it with calm, with clarity, and with connection to something deeper.

So in this season, I’ve been quietly logging off social media, spending more time in nature, connecting with friends in real, intentional ways, and making space to write—like this newsletter. I’ve been practicing sadhana, eating real food, and creating without pressure. It’s not about perfection—it’s about presence.

In this month’s newsletter, I’m sharing the things that are helping me stay grounded: meaningful travel, yoga you can do anywhere, and mindful merch made with intention. I hope it inspires you to unplug, come home to yourself, and reconnect with what really matters.

TRAVEL

Catching Flights & Feelings✈️

Lately, I’ve been finding so much inspiration and joy in my travels. I feel alive again. So I figured—why keep it to myself? Welcome to the new travel section, where I’ll be sharing reflections, lessons, and itineraries from some of the most magical places I’ve been.

  • Italy: 🇮🇹 🍝 Spiritual awakenings in cathedrals, Campari spritzes, pasta without guilt, and a reminder to slow down and savor life—Italy changed me.

    • Dolce far niente – The sweetness of doing nothing. It’s not laziness—it’s presence. Italians have mastered the art of simply being, and it reminded me that rest isn’t something to earn. It’s a way of honoring your soul.

    • Fashion as expression – Milan, one of the fashion capitals of the world, helped me reconnect to the joy of dressing for me. Not for approval, but as a celebration of who I am. It’s not about labels—it’s about the craftsmanship, the energy, the feeling. And wow… Milan is the heartbeat of it all.

    • When in Rome, eat the pasta – I’ve struggled with body image and my relationship with food for years—and I know I’m not alone. Being in Italy, eating the pasta, the cheese, the pizza, sipping the wine… I expected to feel guilt. But I didn’t. The food here is high quality, made with care, and meant to be savored. I felt nourished, not weighed down. There’s something powerful about letting yourself fully experience joy—without shame, without rules. If you needed a sign to let go and enjoy the moment, this is it.

  • Portugal: 🇵🇹🍷 A one-day whirlwind in Porto turned into a powerful reminder of what it means to be present, stay curious, and find magic in the in-between moments.

    • Make the most of the moment: When time is limited, it reminds you to make the most of the moment — and that’s exactly how I went into Portugal. I only had one day, so I lived it fully: trying something new on the menu, going off the beaten path, talking to a kind stranger, ordering the bartender’s choice, getting up (even exhausted) to watch the sunrise over the mountains, and striking up a conversation with the person next to me on the plane. That’s how I want to live my life — like every day matters. Because it does.
